Flemish Region

  • Flanders Investment & Trade is the Flemish Agency that handles international trade. It promotes Flanders as an investing area for international corporations in order to foster those to establish in the region.  In addition to that, it supports Flemish companies in their approach of international development. Those companies, whatever their nationalities, can benefit from FIT’s thorough expertise and from a wide network of national and international partners.

  • The Flanders International Technical Agency is an organization created by Flemish authorities with a view to promoting Flanders’ advantages in terms of knowledge and technical capacities. FITA focuses on key business sectors such as infrastructures and equipments, mobility and logistics or also environmental protection. Furthermore, FITA tries to foster the participation of Flemish companies in foreign investments in those sectors by offering them a technical assistance as well as a logistic and administrative support.

  • VOKA is the Flemish Network of Enterprises. It includes more than 18,000 companies in Flanders and in Brussels, accounting for 66% of Flanders’ value-added. As the most influential network of entrepreneurs and organizations in Flanders, VOKA aims at creating a suitable framework that favours entrepreneurship in order to contribute to the welfare and prosperity of the Flemish Region. VOKA was creating following the merger between the VEV (Flemish Economic Trade Unions) and the eight Flemish Chambers of Commerce.

  • UNIZO states for Union of Self-Employed Workers. It is the main organization backing up self-employed workers, entrepreneurs and SMEs in Flanders and in Brussels. UNIZO’s first mission is to defend entrepreneurs’ interests by providing them with pieces of information and advice, and by networking them with a wide number of professional contacts. Within the organization, “UNIZO International” department has responsibility for fostering international trade activities of Flemish activities and their participation in major European or international projects.

  • Flemish People in the World (Vlamingen in de Wereld - ViW) is an active network of Flemish nationals living all over the globe. ViW’s first goal is to establish and maintain close ties between Flanders and all Flemish people emigrated in Europe and on all others continents, whatever they are emigrants or expatriates.  The idea is to set up useful links between Flemish nationals at the economic, cultural, social and human level, while conveying a good image of Flanders oversees.


ProChile is the institution of the Foreign Ministry in charge of promoting exports and imports of products and services of all the country. Moreover, it encourages promotion and attraction of foreign investments as well as tourism development.
