Wallonia Foreign Trade and Investment Agency (AWEX) is the department of the Walloon Region dealing with the promotion of foreign trade and with the attraction and welcoming of foreign investors. The AWEX has developed a range of assistance tools aimed at supporting Walloon entrepreneurs in their export projects.

The Walloon Union of Enterprises (UWE) is a private organization whose mission is to promote and to support firms as those drive economic and social welfare in the Region. It is the official spokesman of industrial, commercial and service enterprises established in Wallonia, whatever their sizes. The UWE promotes a strong employers’ world and values complementarities between different organizations through a partnership with the Union of the Middle Classes and close collaborations with other professional federations and with all Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
The BEP, which is the Agency for sustainable economic development in the Province of Namur, aims at being a model of a proactive public company in the Namur area. BEP’s Economic Development department supports projects leaders and growing companies of the Namur Province offering them personalized assistance in their innovation an internationalization approach.
The mission of the Agency in charge of Economic and Environmental Development in the Hainaut Province is to be a valuable partner in the service of sustainable territorial development. One of the organization’s tasks is to support self-employed workers and companies directors of the Hainaut in the development of their activities at the international level. Thus, the « internationalization» cell raises SMEs’ awareness of the stakes involved by international trade and manages them in the setting up business relations with foreign partners.
The Agency for Economic Development in the Province of Liege manages about a hundred associates to position its territory as a sustainable, attractive and renowned pool of life. One of the organization’s tasks is to support firms of the Province in their external trade activities. Furthermore, the SPI proposes exclusive B2B meetings in the Liege region that allow taking part firms to widen their horizons. That’s why their team is committed to supervising the most innovative initiatives.
BioWin, the acronym of Biotechnologies, Wallonia and Innovation, is the Walloon competitiveness pole specialised in health issues. Its role is to federate all Walloon players involved in innovative projects and/or trainings in connection with biotechnologies and health. One of the BioWin pole’s vocation is to help its member to become international.
